When sweethearts Sanaya Irani and Mohit Sehgal took their vows as man and wife in a romantic ceremony on a Goan beach, it was a sight to behold. The radiant bride, the handsome groom, the dressed-up guests, the holy fire, the priest all looked like a part of a fairy tale wedding, yet something was amiss.
Yes, it's the mandap of the wedding that was missing. A report in India Today revealed that the mandap was definitely constructed (guests had clicked pictures of it and posted it on social media), but when the time came for the pheras, the mandap had vanished.
Finally, the mystery of the missing mandap has been solved! The problem lay with the weight of the mandap apparently.
Sometime before the ceremony, the four poles of the mandap suddenly collapsed because they could not take the load of too many people climbing on them. Instead of setting it up all over again, the couple decided to go ahead with the ceremony in the open. But it didn't make the ceremony any less beautiful!
The couple, who first met on the sets of TV show Miley Jab Hum Tum, dated for over five years before tying the knot on January 25 in Goa.
